About Me

Going to over 50 countries and having the opportunity to converse with people of different cultures and perspectives, and witnessing unique and thought-provoking moments, I developed an interest in storytelling. Each colorful sight, narrative, anecdote and nuance coming from the complex individuals that I met prompted me to want to put pen to paper. I’m always ready to pack my bags, step out of my comfort zone, and go to a new place on a whim. And I want to tell the stories of those I meet along the way.

As a first-generation American whose parents came to the United States seeking better opportunities, and as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who was posted in Rwanda from 2014-2016, I have a solid interest in global economic development, and writing about the unique and rich perspectives and experiences of communities in lower-income countries.

I received a Masters of Mass Communication from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I have written for Reynolds Center for Business Journalism, Phoenix Business Journal, and Cronkite News/Arizona PBS as a correspondent in Washington, D.C.I received my undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Arizona State, and after that, stumbled into the finance world.

I aim to center my writing and visual work surrounding politics, global finance and economics. cultural relativism and travel as it relates to underreported communities.
